We are so excited to get a filly from this this great match up! Elhanan’s Belle Aurore purebred Connemara filly born at Elhanan April 30th, 2024 by Greystone Adirondack A’Herne out of Kynynmont Erin Margret, double registered and branded Westfalen, she was the darling of our 2024 Westfalen NA inspection. Belle’s half-sister also by Greystone Adirondack A’Herne, Searah’s Camhaoir A’Herne “Dawn” , made Premium at her 3yo mare inspection, and we hope that Belle will follow in her sister’s hoof falls. Dawn has been remarkably successful in breed shows, and is currently in training with a dressage pro.
Greystone's Adirondack A'Herne, (Rosenaharley Laurens x Hideaway's Smitheranne) or “Harry” a 14H bay Connemara stallion approved by both ACPS and Weser Ems. He is a fantastic mover and was voted Connemara stallion of the year in 2011. Harry made his mark in the show ring, winning more than 50 champion or reserve champion driving titles and numerous year-end awards. Harry served as an ambassador of sorts for the breed, representing Connemara ponies at both the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games as well as Equine Affairs in Massachusetts, and making an appearance on stage at the “Martha Stewart Show.” Sadly Harry passed away in the summer of 2023. Belle is his last purebred foal.
Kynynmont Erin Margret, “Molly”, is a 2014, 14.3H beautiful purebred Connemara buckskin with striking golden dapples in the summer, and her first foal is equally beautiful. By the Imported Champion German Connemara Pony stallion Smaragaid Cliff out of Kynynmont Moira (Ballywhim Sterling Moss x Greystone Erin Moireen), Molly has a pedigree packed with imported and domestic Champion athletic ponies with lovely elastic dressage gaits. Smaragaid Cliff, a Premium ACPS Stallion, brings new, exceptional bloodlines to the U.S., offering well-known and respected European Connemara Ponies close up on both sides of his pedigree, including multiple Danish Elite mares, Danish Elite stallions and German Federal Premium mares as well as champion Danish dressage stallions. Cliff is a third generation dressage champion; his sire and grandsire were both FEI Pony Dressage Medalists. As a USEF Leading Sire in Dressage, Eventing and Dressage Breeding, Cliff's progeny proves that he successfully passes on his own award-winning ways and those of his famous ancestors. Molly’ dam, Kynynmont Moira (Ballywhim Sterling Moss x Greystone Erin Moireen), has one stallion son standing, the purebred breeding stallion Kynynmont Cooper O’Grady, who has shown successfully through Intermediare I and is schooling Grand Prix movements.

Nadya is an outstanding branded Westphalian German Riding Pony filly by FS Nurmero Uno out of Chalotte. Super inquisitive and brave, this solid and correct filly is sharp and just so easy and fun! This filly is really special and we had planned to retain her, but I can’t keep them all. If the absolute best match doesn’t come along, we’re happy for her to stay and be developed here at Elhanan in our training program.
Nadya’s sire, FS Numero Uno is the prime example of a sire that every breeder would want and underlines this every year with outstanding performances in sport and breeding. Type, movement, character and rideability – a modern stallion must not only possess these characteristics himself, but also pass them on to his offspring.
FS Numero Uno's sire, Noir de Luxe was himself the winning stallion at his licensing in Hanover and Federal Champion in 2007 and 2008. His mother, the state premium mare FS Dancing Diamond, was herself the Federal Champion Mare and is descended from our exceptional sire FS Don't Worry .
Now successful up to Intermediaire II, FS Numero Uno's hereditary performance is also becoming increasingly clear: regardless of whether it is at licensings, mare shows or riding pony championships. His offspring are included in the winners and placings lists everywhere. In addition to the two-time Federal Champion New Magic and the Vice Federal Champion FS Nala the 2021 Federal Champion Sophie's Chanel WE and the 2022 Federal Champion Neverland WE, FS Numero Uno was also able to produce the 2023 Vice Federal Champion with Ninja Warrior M.
A special highlight was the Green Week in Berlin 2023, where the national champion stallions FS Next Diamond and Neverland WE both had FS Numero Uno as their sire.
FS Numero Uno is also impressive as a sire: He now has 63 licensed sons to his name, including FS Next Diamond, the winning stallion of the 2019 Rhenish riding pony licensing and bronze medalist at the 2022 Federal Championships, who is also stationed with us, as well as over 65 state and premium mares.
Nadya’s dam, Chalotte, is an elegant, correct, and forward thinking mare. This beautiful mare comes from multigenerational Westphalian States Premium mares on her dam side, but sadly she was imported to the USA before she could receive this title. Chalotte has beautiful movement, and was leased to a Junior rider performing at lower level dressage, attended NDPC and Dressage at Devon before coming to Elhanan as a broodmare later in her life.
Chalotte’s sire, Chantre B, was Champion of his Stallion Licensing and Performance Test with a total score of 8.9 and scoring perfect 10's for both character and free jumping. Chantre B has produced multiple licensed sons and state premium daughters, and several Champions of the German Bundeschampionat.
Chalotte’s dam-sire, Der Feine Lord AT has wonderfully expressive gaits and excellent type, combined with his strong character and good temperament, which he passes down to his offspring. Der Feine Lord's sire is the multiple European champion Dressman I and the blood of Folklore and Brilliant is found in many elite riding ponies. His dam, SPS Gina was reserve Champion of the national Mare Show in Weser Ems, and his granddam Giana was DLG Champion mare. Die Chanel is stamped with his quality, and possesses his beautiful head and fluid, cadenced, space-gaining gaits. Der Feine Lord AT was Reserve Champion of the 2003 Riding Pony Koering. After series victories in the Reitponypruefungen (9.4), the Westfaelischen Hengsthaltercups and the Rheinischen championships, Der Feine Lord became RK vice-federal Champion with the foreign rider score of 9.5. His excellent sporting career was rounded off with an outstanding victory at the stallion performance test with a score of 8.52, where he received several 9.5 rideability scores. The 2009 Dressage European Team Champion, Der Feine Lord was also a member of the Gold Medal German Pony Team. His offspring are winning FEI level dressage ponies all over Europe with Der Kleine Lord winning Euro Bronze for Great Britain with Alexandra Hellings. Full brother Dance Star AT won Bundeschampion, Vice Bundeschampion twice over, champion at his stallion grading and now successfully competing PSG level in Germany. Over 20 of his daughters carry the title of State Premium Mare.

We are so proud of Searah’s Camhaior A’Herne, “Dawn,” our first purebred Connemara filly born at Elhanan March 26th, 2020 by Greystone Adirondack A’Herne out of Searah’s Celtic Legacyand bred by Kathy Trum-Searah. Dawn had an exceptional year in 2023, first earning Premium Mare at her Westfalen NA inspection with judges remarking, “Good type, solid conformation, feminine, walk with rhythm and stride, trot elastic, smooth with enough stride, easy, balanced canter.” Dawn then performed remarkably well at the Southeast Championships winning 3rd place in Three Year Old Fillies against the warmbloods. We finished up the year with the 2023 USDF All-Breeds DSHB American Connemara Pony Society Champion Three Year Old Filly of the Year, and 2023 USDF DSHB 8th Place Three Year Old Filly of the Year - again against warmblood horses. We have high hopes for this lovely mare’s future.
Greystone's Adirondack A'Herne, (Rosenaharley Laurens x Hideaway's Smitheranne) or “Harry” a 14H bay Connemara stallion approved by both ACPS and Weser Ems by the GOV.
Searah’s Celtic Legacy, "Penny" is a 2016 14.2H gray Connemara mare by Tullymor’s Mountain Thunder out of Good Earth Victory Go Bragh by Hideaway’s Erin Go Bragh X Grange Finn Sparrow. Tullymor’s Mountain Thunder, by Tullymor’s Flying Ace out of Kahula, “Delmar”, born June 22, 1999, is 14.1 H with an impressive 8.5in bone and is a wonderful stallion who’s offspring are exceptional movers with excellent conformation.
Penny’s dam sire, Hideaway Farm’s talented stallion Erin Go Bragh was undoubtedly one of the most well-known Connemaras in recent history. Despite his size—about 15.2h—he was an immensely successful eventer, and in a competitive career that spanned more than a decade, Erin Go Bragh represented the Connemara breed in driving as well as eventing. In addition to competing successfully at Advanced level, he also sired more than 200 foals, had a starring role in the children’s documentary “The Little Horse That Could”, and received the honor of being named Breyer Horse of the Year in 1988. Erin Go Bragh passed away in 2013 but his descendants continue his legacy of athletic success.
Penny’s Granddam’s sire, Grange Finn Sparrow, had two of his offspring made it to the 4* level, contesting Rolex Kentucky, and many, many more competed at the upper levels. Seven offspring, both purebred and halfbred Connemaras, made it to the Advanced level. He has sired individuals that competed in upper level dressage, one of whom was in Lendon Gray's Dressage 4 Kids program; top jumpers, Pony Finals contenders, foxhunters and even a son that competed on Allison Stroud's famous four-in-hand driving team.
Dawn is going well walk, trot, canter under saddle, and she is a beautiful mover with just the right amount of spice. This pony has definite FEI potential, and is best suited for an experienced rider in a program, but she is fancy enough for a pro. Dawn is showing in the ribbons at Intro Level Dressage in schooling shows. She leads, ties, loads, bathes, is good for farrier and vet, and travels well. She is the same pony on and off property. Dawn has popped over a few cross rails and easily trail rides alone or with company. Dawn has a solid and correct start by a pro and is ready to go in any direction, or she will make an outstanding choice for your breeding program. Future plans include continuing her professional dressage training and show career, and should she stay with us, a purebred breeding as well as breeding to a German Riding Pony stallion.

He is the son of Angelo who produced several Olympic competitors as well as being the damsire of Rubinstein I. Lord Ferragamo's dam line is very impressive with 10 of the first 15 being SPS or VPS mares.
In 2010, his first year of competition, Lord Ferragamo was the USDF Dressage Horse of the Year for First Level 12th Place (Over 73%), USDF All-Breeds Award for Training Level 4th Place, and USDF All-Breed Award 1st Level Reserve Champion. Lord Ferragamo was the Region 2 Reserve Champion at second level and USDF All-Breeds Award third Place winner in 2011. He passes his movement, topline, and temperment to his foals out of a variety of mares and are an improvement of their dams in all cases so far for this young stallion.
Lord Ferragamo scored best of all sires in his temperament and character and that's what we find in his offspring. Rideable horses with a great mind and work ethic. Top movements with an impressive canter and walk and great shoulder freedom in the trot. LORD FERRAGAMO was successfully shown up to PSG & Int I.

Glory is a delight to have around the barn with an excellent, kind temperament and the impeccable manners. A proven broodmare, Glory has one stallion son actively standing. Easily takes on the first try with fresh or frozen.
Glory is an excellent riding pony for a child or adult. Anyone can throw a leg over and go. She would make an excellent Mother-daughter pony. Glory has schooled through Training and First level work. Glory eagerly looks forward to her trail rides and beginner riding lessons for my granddaughter.
Glory is a delight in every way but does need reasonable maintenance for a pony.

TBF Sweet Deliverance - “Piper” is a 2017 purebred 14H Connemara Pony bred by Jenny Youngblood. Piper is by TBF Sweet Dublainn out of Wild Acres Malarkey by Kerrymor Madison and she is a knock-out! Flashy Bay with a blaze, and eyes to die for that make your heart melt! Very classy with a superb brain! Lightly started as a three year old before producing two foals, Piper is currently back in training under saddle with a Junior rider and is a delightful pony to work with! Piper is brave, smart, kind, and has a super sweet temperament that Connemara Ponies are known for. She is very straightforward and easy, always interested in whatever we’re doing today. Piper is green under saddle but currently W/T/C and has been started over rails and x rails. She picks up both leads but she’s figuring that part out and we have not started on auto changes. Excellent natural jumping instincts and gorgeous, knee-tucking form.
Piper is always happy to trail ride, alone or in a group, lead or follow, and will eagerly pop over small obstacles on the ground. Piper has excellent feet and is a barefoot easy keeper. No vices. Not marish. She ties, hauls, loads, bathes and is good for the farrier, vet, and dentist. Up to date on shots, coggins, deworming, and had dental in February 2024.
Piper will attend her first schooling dressage show next week and we are really looking forward to taking her to her first Eventing Academy at Stable View soon. She is versatile and could easily go in any direction. Easy enough for an amatuer or junior rider in a program to bring along. With her looks and potential she is an excellent hunter pony prospect, but is the ultimate all-around Connemara type who could do just about anything; pony club rallies, foxhunting, eventing, jumpers, hunters, trail riding, you name it. When they are this easy and willing, the sky's the limit. Connemaras Do It ALL!
Piper is a proven broodmare and excellent mother. She has produced two beautiful purebred connemara foals: a dun filly in 2021 by Tullymor’s Mountain Sun, and a 2022 colt for us by Shammer Eagle, Elhanan’s Pied Piper.
Brood mare/ Riding Pony. Reluctantly offered to only the very best home!

Our 2021 GRP foal is a super correct and very fancy dark bay German Riding Pony gelding by Popeye and out of our own Die Chanel, imported GRP mare by Der Feine Lord AT X Chantre B born February 11, 2021. Well handled since birth, Poseidon is well mannered and a delight to be around.
Popeye is the only pony stallion (and one of only a handful of all stallions) that has been awarded 5 Stars with ISR/OldenburgNA. Popeye finished fourth overall with an 8.3 at his 30-Day Stallion test in Germany. His walk and character each received scores of 9 or higher. In his first year in the US, Popeye was Reserve Champion of the USDF East Coast Stallion Final in Dressage at Devon. Popeye has shown through 4th Level dressage with scores in the 70’s and was the 2011 Reserve Champion for Fourth Level at the BLM Finals. To showcase his versatility, Popeye began eventing in the fall of 2012 and has competed successful up to Training Level, with two different riders, often finishing on his dressage score.

Dear Old Dad, affectionately known as “Pops,” is a quiet yet brave 2014, 16H OTTB confidently competing Novice and schooling Training! With a willing and relaxed attitude about life, Pops would suit many disciplines. Pops is confident through all three phases including water, ditches, banks, in the sandbox and all in between. Super fun and easy to ride, Pops has three comfortable and rhythmic gaits. His agility and scope allow him to adjust easily in combinations and get the rider out safely every time. This snappy gelding is very handy and would suit someone looking for a NOVICE PACKER that isn't overly "hot". If you’re looking for a handsome steady partner, he’s your man!
Pops has been used in a lesson program, can take a joke, and has packed junior riders around in the ribbons in evening and dressage. He hauls like a pro and has spent extensive time off-property with a pro training and showing Novice in both schooling and recognized events. Shakespeare In Love "Will" is one of the most loved horses on our farm! I keep in touch with not just 1, but 2 delightful former owners (one that still visits for a ride when she can) and he has a string of fans from young girls to mature women. Will came to us with a healthy background spanning low level eventing to some Western and trail riding. Pretty sure he neck reins! We’ve used him in a lesson program, local schooling shows, and summer riding camps and he’s now ready for his own partner.
Always eager to greet you, Will is a love-bug and full of personality! Excellent ground manners, he stands quietly for vet and farrier and will fall asleep grooming. Loads, clips, hauls off property eager for his next show or adventure. Will has most recently partnered with a young junior rider under professional dressage tutelage and he has enjoyed the companionship of a mature returning rider for trails and maybe a little pampering. He loves treats!
Barefoot easy-keeper, up to date on vet and farrier with no maintenance, Will would make an excellent first horse for a child in lessons or competent trail partner for an adult that enjoys the outdoors. Will is most suitable for a confident advanced beginner/intermediate rider as he is still forward thinking and enjoys his rides. Only the BEST homes need apply. This boy is special.
