Dear Old Dad, affectionately known as “Pops,” is a quiet yet brave 2014, 16H OTTB confidently competing Novice and schooling Training! With a willing and relaxed attitude about life, Pops would suit many disciplines. Pops is confident through all three phases including water, ditches, banks, in the sandbox and all in between. Super fun and easy to ride, Pops has three comfortable and rhythmic gaits. His agility and scope allow him to adjust easily in combinations and get the rider out safely every time. He is super honest and fun to the jumps, both stadium and cross country and he is progressing in his dressage development. He certainly has the classy look and would excel in the Hunter ring as well. This snappy gelding is very handy and would suit someone looking for a NOVICE PACKER that isn't overly "hot". If you’re looking for a handsome steady partner, he’s your man!

Pops has been used in a lesson program, can take a joke, and has packed junior riders around in the ribbons in evening and dressage. He hauls like a pro and has spent extensive time off-property with a pro training and showing Novice in both schooling and recognized events. Schooling Training level eventing with ample scope, and schooling Training level dressage with a junior under a professional.

Pops is suitable for an intermediate/advanced junior or adult amateur in a program. He has good ground manners, no vices, no buck, rear or bolt. UTD on all shots and coggins, stands quietly for vet/farrier and at the trailer. Hacks out alone or with a group. This sweet guy has the athleticism and ride-ability to go in any direction. Pops comes with his Jockey Club papers and has an excellent pedigree with a Breeders Cup nomination from the track.
