Una Chanel is a 2022 14.3H dark bay/black German Riding Pony mare by Under Cover Fast out of Die Chanel (Der Feine Lord AT x Chantre B). Una is unstarted, but has had appropriate young horse training and is pleasant to work with, with an endearing personality. She is scheduled to start this fall after Championship season.

Under Cover Fast is a sturdy modern stallion who proudly makes his presence known in the arena. He has a short back and he is perfect in all three gaits, with a good rideability and a go-getter attiude that makes him easy to work with on a daily basis. His couragious attitude propells him forward and enhances his performance and work ethic.

His sire, the Trakehner LATIMER, won his approval in Germany and placed third in his performance test. He also became Bundeschampion of 4 year stallions, and was named Champion "Elite Stallion" of his studbook. He was selected for the European Championships for Young Dressage Riders and he won the bronze medal at the German Championships while we was ranked fourth of the Kür. LATIMER, was an international dressage winner. Grandson of the famous CAPRIMOND, a leading dressage stallion worldwide, LATIMER was victorious in both dressage and breeding. His offspring include FINCKENSTEIN TSF (WEG 2018) and ERLENTANZ, who debuted in the 3* CDI competition in 2019 with Charlotte DUJARDIN.

His dam, St. Pr. St. MATA HARI, is Dressage-certified in France, and his second dam, St. Pr. St. MELISSA, were exceptional broodmares whose quality offspring is honored every year at the highest level. Numerous FEI performers and stallions have come from this damline.

Under Cover Fast was the Vice-champion of three year old dressage stallions in France. He was also the four year-old dressage Champion, Vice-champion of five and six year old (always Elite). He continued his career in horse and pony racing and qualifed for the Kür of the European Championships 2016 (15th) after having notably placed in Tournament of Aces (3rd in Paris, 2nd at Le Mans). A lot of potential in breeding for this French Saddle Pony. In 2017, under saddle of Charlotte Palas won the French Pony Championships in the pony level dressage competition (out of 10,000 pony entries!). Under Cover Fast won the title with a team score of 71.75%, placed second in the individual with a 70.93% and winning third in the Kur to music with 72.33%. The average score was was 71.67% was the highest of the group and earned the gold medal. His rider said Under Cover Fast, "My pony was very much listening (to my aids) throughout the championships which allowed me to get a good outcome like this. During the test I was very confident and very concentrated. I wanted to win and do my best."

Una Chanel’s damsire, Der Feine Lord AT has wonderfully expressive gaits and excellent type, combined with his strong character and good temperament, which he passes down to his offspring. Der Feine Lord's sire is the multiple European champion Dressman I and the blood of Folklore and Brilliant is found in many elite riding ponies. His dam, SPS Gina was reserve Champion of the national Mare Show in Weser Ems, and his granddam Giana was DLG Champion mare. Die Chanel is stamped with his quality, and possesses his beautiful head and fluid, cadenced, space-gaining gaits. Der Feine Lord AT was Reserve Champion of the 2003 Riding Pony Koering. After series victories in the Reitponypruefungen (9.4), the Westfaelischen Hengsthaltercups and the Rheinischen championships, Der Feine Lord became RK vice-federal Champion with the foreign rider score of 9.5. His excellent sporting career was rounded off with an outstanding victory at the stallion performance test with a score of 8.52, where he received several 9.5 rideability scores. The 2009 Dressage European Team Champion, Der Feine Lord was also a member of the Gold Medal German Pony Team. His offspring are winning FEI level dressage ponies all over Europe with Der Kleine Lord winning Euro Bronze for Great Britain with Alexandra Hellings. Full brother Dance Star AT won Bundeschampion, Vice Bundeschampion twice over, champion at his stallion grading and now successfully competing PSG level in Germany. Over 20 of his daughters carry the title of State Premium Mare.

Una Chanel’s dam, Die Chanel, comes from multigenerational States Premium mares going back 3 generations on her dam side, but sadly she was imported to the USA before she could receive this title.
