"Doodlebug" is a super fun 12.1H grade appaloosa pony gelding that is ready to play games and compete with his own kid! Doodlebug is a former circus-ride pony so he is patient and kind, but also talented, brave, and versatile with a willing and cheerful attitude. Doodlebug would suit many disciplines. He has extensively schooled cross country including ditches, water and banks with confidence, swimming in ponds, and hacks out alone or with a group. He won 1st place with a double clear cross country and stadium in his first show at Poplar Place with a score of 31.25! He’s participated in games rallies, is jumping small courses, has been introduced to pulling a cart, and is schooling training level dressage. He has been used in a lesson program with both beginner and intermediate level riders.
Most recently we’ve taken Doodle to Derby Days Mounted Games Competition at Chattahoochee Hills winning team 4th, and he won Reserve Champion in Youth W/T at Twin Chestnuts Farm Schooling series.
Doodlebug hauls and stands quietly at the trailer, for vet and farrier. He has good ground manners, is barefoot and sound with clean legs with no known injuries. No known vices, no buck, rear or bolt. UTD on all shots, dental, and coggins. This snazzy little gelding is adorable and would suit a confident child looking for a best friend and close confidant. Price will increase with training and show miles.
