Lilo Fore has been synonymous with dressage in the United States as a competitor, breeder, trainer, instructor, and judge for many decades. Originally from Germany, Lilo started as a trainer in the US in 1971 and has developed horses and riders who have qualified for National and International Championships. She bases her training operation, Sporthorse America, in Santa Rosa, California.
Lilo Fore has been the winner of numerous national and international Horse of the Year awards for USDF, USEF, and USET.
Her judging credentials include USEF “S” Judge (with both the Freestyle and Young Horse Designation, retired FEI 5*Judge, a member of the FEI Judges Supervising Panel, and a Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Judge for 4 decades. Lilo Fore has also been a member of the Ground Jury for multiple USET selection trials for the Olympics, the Pan-American Games, World Cup Finals, the World Young Horse Championships, and the World Equestrian Games.
Lilo is a founder of the USDF Instructor/Trainer Program and is a current member of its faculty. She is continuously involved in many educational programs for Dressage trainers, teachers, and judges throughout the United States. In 2017, Lilo was inducted into the Römer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame.

The USDF FEI Youth Clinic Series is an educational opportunity for youth riders striving to compete at FEI levels. The goal of this series is to promote hardworking, talented youth riders who want to rise to the top of the discipline. These clinics are taught by top U.S. riders including George Williams, Anne Gribbons, Lilo Fore and Sabine Schut-Kery.
Each clinic includes two days of private lessons, theory sessions, and auditing. Riders must submit an online application and eight riders will be selected to participate. Riders should be 12-21 years of age (competing in FEI Children, Junior, or Young Rider classes). Riders competing in FEI Pony classes may also apply. Consideration will also be given to U25 riders if space allows.
